Smelling salts, also known as ammonia inhalers, are commonly used in competitive sports such as powerlifting, strongman, ice hockey, and bodybuilding. They contain volatile ammonia, which, when inhaled through the nose, stimulates the respiratory tract and causes a brief, intense activation of the nervous system. This allows you to achieve maximum focus and performance at a crucial moment – the effect lasts only a few seconds.

Smelling salts are not intended for regular use and should be used with caution. They irritate mucous membranes and can cause severe burning and watering of the eyes, making them unsuitable for everyone. Beginners, in particular, should start with the lowest intensity level. Level 3 of 5 and above, the smelling salts become very intense and are definitely not recommended for beginners. Our smelling salts are often underestimated—therefore, our advice: Please use them with care and respect.
